All employment opportunity advertisements and recruiting activities advertised through Carleton University's Career Services and Co-operative Education must conform to Employment Standards, Ontario and Human Rights Legislation, as outlined with the Ontario Ministry of Labour.

Career Services and Co-operative Education uses the CUHire portal to advertise employment opportunities to Carleton University students and alumni and support all on-campus recruitment activities. 
We reserve the right to limit or cancel an employer's recruitment activities if they are not conducive to a beneficial and positive student employment experience.

Career Services and Co-operative Education requires all employers to provide the following information in order to post a job opportunity. Failure to do so may result in the job posting not being accepted:

Career Services and Co-operative Education will not accept the following types of employment: Career Services and Co-operative Education prohibits the following recruitment strategies on campus: Please work within the framework outlined on our website to recruit and promote your employment opportunities/organization on campus. Any recruitment strategy practiced on campus without our knowledge or permission, and/or that is not affiliated with our recruitment services, will result in discontinued use of our services. 

Career Services and Co-operative Education reserves the right to remove or refuse any employer conducting recruitment on campus or job postings where: Career Services and Co-operative Education will not be liable to employers with respect to any loss or damage which may have resulted directly or indirectly in regard to the services supplied by the Career Centre.

All submitted job postings are processed Monday to Friday between 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. except for holidays. All job postings require a 24 to 48 hour posting time frame.

Career Services and Co-operative Education may use an employer's email address for the following purposes:

At Carleton University, we recognize and respect the importance of privacy. Personal and contact information that we collect is kept confidential and, as such, Career Services and Co-operative Education will not disclose employer contact information recorded on our CUHire job posting system without consent. Contact or personal information obtained by Carleton University is, under no circumstances, rented or sold.
Employers who obtain the contact or personal information of Carleton students and alumni are expected to protect the privacy of those individuals and their personal information. Employers should not disclose contact or personal information of Carleton students and alumni to other parties without the proper approvals.

Employers utilizing the services provided by Career Services and Co-operative Education must abide by these Terms and Conditions. Career Services and Co-operative Education reserves the right to refuse any person or organization use of this service. 

Event Cancellation 

Neither party shall be liable for damages caused by delay or failure to perform its obligations under the Contract where such delay or failure is caused by an event beyond its reasonable control. The parties agree that an event shall not be considered beyond one's reasonable control if a reasonable business person applying due diligence in the same or similar circumstances under the same or similar obligations as those contained in the Contract would have put in place contingency plans to either materially mitigate or negate the effects of such event. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the parties agree that force majeure events shall include natural disasters and acts of war, insurrection and terrorism and labour disruptions but shall not include shortages or delays relating to supplies or services. If a party seeks to excuse itself from its obligations under this Contract due to a force majeure event, that party shall immediately notify the other party of the delay or non-performance, the reason for such delay or non- performance and the anticipated period of delay or non-performance. If the anticipated or actual delay or non-performance exceeds fifteen (15) Business Days, the other party may immediately terminate the Contract by giving notice of termination and such termination shall be in addition to the other rights and remedies of the terminating party under the Contract, at law or in equity
